The Challenge: A Conversion-Focused Overhaul
The ResumeX product was technically strong, but the user-facing landing page was a major bottleneck. The challenge was two-fold:
Low Conversion: The default, generic interface failed to convert visitors into users. The design didn't build trust or effectively explain the product's value.
Lack of Clarity: Users weren't immediately seeing the AI-powered benefits and why this tool was faster and better than existing options.
My goal was to overhaul the design to focus on conversion and trust while clearly highlighting the speed and AI features.

Design Solution: The Conversion-Focused Landing Page
To solve the conversion and trust issues (as seen in the screenshot), I completely redesigned the landing page around core UX principles.
1. Establishing Trust and Urgency (The Header)
Strong, Clear Headline: The headline, "Create your resume in minutes, not days," immediately sets a value proposition based on speed.
Visual Hierarchy: The high-contrast, dark-mode design uses vibrant gold/yellow accents to clearly guide the user's eye to the most important elements: the main call-to-action (CTA) button and the AI/document illustration.
Social Proof: I included a prominent section showcasing "What Users Say" with branded testimonials and trust signals (like the Google logo) to build credibility for new visitors.

2. Highlighting Features and Value
I structured the middle of the page to break down the key product advantages simply:
Powerful Features: I created simple card layouts to make the features scannable, especially "AI-Powered Creation" and "ATS Compatibility".
Clear CTAs: I implemented clear CTAs at the top, middle, and bottom of the page to encourage conversion at every stage of the user journey.

3. Engineering the UI
I personally authored 700+ lines of custom CSS to ensure the entire page was fully responsive across all devices and visually appealing. This engineering effort ensured the beautiful design translated perfectly to a functional webpage.

Engineering Solution: The AI-Powered Resume Builder
Beyond the design, the core of the product was developed to automate the tedious parts of resume creation.
1. Full-Stack Automation
I engineered the full-stack resume builder using Streamlit. This automates the PDF creation directly from user input, reducing the manual formatting time by over 90% for the end-user.

2. Building the AI Advantage
The central innovation was creating the AI-powered resume enhancer from concept to completion within a 24-hour hackathon.
I integrated the Gemini API to provide powerful generative analysis. The tool gives users personalized, ATS-focused suggestions, which was measured to improve resume quality scores by approximately 20% points.

Impact and Outcomes
The combination of design and engineering delivered clear results for the product:
Increased Engagement: The landing page redesign successfully transformed the interface, leading to a projected 5x increase in user engagement.
User Adoption: The platform attracted over 2,000+ visitors and successfully assisted 300+ users in creating their AI-powered resumes, demonstrating real-world value and utility.
Efficiency: The automated tool delivered a solution that was faster and smarter than manual processes, significantly improving the user experience.
